TWO CHRISTMAS EPISODES?!?! (plus Waters of Mars)

Yep, we're getting a two parter this year and the second half is supposed to be 75 minutes long. This leaves room for many things, including our pony. (You'd have to read rabid1st's blog to know what I mean)

Waters of Mars, demonstrated that the Doctor is slowly becoming the Valeyard. Yes, I know, it's still debated wether or not he truely is the Valeyard, but in Waters of Mars, he almost seemed as twisted as the Master. It was the best episode yet and it raises alot of questions that can only be answered in RTDs final installment. Will we see the Doctor become as evil as the Master? Is it possible the Ood have something to do with Gallifery and the return of the Time Lords? I'm begining to think that the Ood had the answer the whole time and may even be Time Lord hybrids or a newly elvolved Time Lord.

So glad that it turned out to be a prequel(sort of) and I am so freakin impressed I need to see it again...YES ITS THAT GOOD!!!! However, in this new I think I've found a new shippery. Spock x Uhura actually make a decent couple. It makes sense and you don't realize it until you see it. There's this joke though, that they breed and create Obama. ...well I thought it was funny.
The casting is fantastic and the storyline is very clever. Well this psycho bitch that took my boyfriend likes to flaunt the fact that she has him trapped in her talons. She follows me all over cyberspace making sure I can't move on and ignore her. Then I realized that I have my family. Something I have that she can't take away. I win in that respect. You can follow me all you want heifer, but you can't take away 29 years of love, family, and memories. I also remembered that I don't have to hold a guy prisoner to keep him. Love is not a hostage situation. She follows him to work and keeps an eye on everything he does. Why? Because she knows she's too much of a monster to keep him any other way. She uses his kids and his pain against him. The defintion of a bad person is one who enjoys harming others.
Election '08: the craziest fucking election I've been alive to see

So Tuesday's the big day. We all take a deep breath and hope to god our guy wins. Never have I seen such a wild election and my first time voting was during the 2000 election. That one was just annoying and horrible and in the end that beady eyed fool won. Why God, why? Was it because Liberman turned out to be a traitor and a two faced ass? Or was this your idea of an 8 yr joke?I mean the man was nearly killed by a pretzel and has made life painful even for people who aren't American. This election IT APPEARS that the right guy is going to win, however, I thought for sure Kerry was going to win in '04 and how wrong I was. This time its a whole lot bigger. Here we have the first black candidate. You also have the crazies that are trying to kill him so he can't end centuries of hell where the white guy always wins. (if anything he has to win to piss them off) Then you have a bitter old man and his arm candy...er um...Palin, who doesn't have the sense God gave a slinky. Oh I'm sorry! Did I say something mean about Palin? Gee...guess treating her like I would any other candidate makes me a sexist. Anyway, the stakes are up. For once I'm not voting for the lesser of the evil because it doesn't appear that Obama has anything on his back. While we've watched this country's economy fall, I saw a man calculated on how to fix it. ( he didn't need to take a day off either) He doesn't cheat on his wife and the worst he's done is smoked. He knows enough about what we're going through to realize that he'll have to raise and cut the right kind of taxes. He never jumps right into things. He thinks then moves as any president should. This probably makes him a champ at chess. No, for once in a long while, I am actually super excited about my candidate. I'm not voting because I don't want the other guy to win, I'm actually voting because I believe in him. I am voting because it truely is time for change.

Yes you can't exist as a Who fan and not hear it. David Tennant is leaving. With Rusty and JG leaving as well, who the hell really blames him. No doubt the show will change with Moffats rule and possibly tank. Why ruin a good career? Or is it already ruined? Think about it. Will anyone know him as anything else but the Doctor? In America he has a chance, but I don't see him coming to this side of the fish tank anytime soon.

It hurts, but believe me, we're saving a good man his career. Moffat wants to rid the show of Daleks and companions and basically we have a good idea where this is going. The show will tank and we may or may not see the Doctor again for a few years.

OK now for the good news. So I have this friend, Rae aka Rabid 1st, on LJ. She had this idea that the Doctor would switch bodies(like the Master has) with the blue suit Doc so he can go and have a happy ending with Rose. With Tennant leaving this makes it more plausable. Cross your fingers that we get at least that much happiness in the Whoverse.
So, it turns out that Rusty Davies isn't happy with the way JE turned out after all. Thats very much a writer. No matter how many times you tweak it, it looks like total crap to you. You can either be happy with your alledged crap or tweak it until it looks nothing like anything you intended it to be and hope to god your fans can make sense of it. Then there is also the idea of being able to correct it once more and see what folks think. In RTD's case, everyone appearently isn't happy. Moffat (though he's only implied) seems to think it was too depressing. Billie doesn't know what to think. It doesn't seem like anyone else has much to say about it publiclly although, before the s4 finale premiered, RTD mentioned that certain memebers of the cast and crew said "I can't believe you did that!".

In my opinion (and I'm not alone here) it seems like Rusty is going to "fix" the ending and give a happier ending for the Doctor and Rose. He promises a "huge plot twist" in the X-mas special, but that could mean for that episode specifically. Even if we get a black jelly bean and find out the Christmas special is pointless like last years, I'm not calling it quits. Not until Rusty leaves and Moffat offically starts dishing out his version of the series. If Jack can have Ianto the Doctor can have Rose. Jack knows he'll out live any lover he has, but he doesn't let it stop him. He knows he's at least got that part of his life where he can look back and say, life is good. The Doctor, in order to be less depressed, needs to understand that too. It would be the only way he could ever become Riversongs' Doctor. Riversong wouldn't match well with emo-Doctor. Chicks like that get bored easily. They don't want some smashed up figure to bring them down and rain on their parade. Rose wants someone to need her. This is why she went so well with the Doctor. If the Doctor can see that despite the loss of his planet, he can be happy again, even if exisits in chapters, he can move on for the next God knows how many years. Then Moffat and whomever else picks the series up, can have a happy Doctor to work with and we can retire this whole "I'm-lonely-I-wanna-die" attitude from the Doctor.

Seriously, how many time do we have to see the Doctor try to kill himself?

The only thing I can figure is that David Tennant is hot and we all wanna screw him. We all wish we were Rose(well maybe before JE) because we want to be the one the Doctor loves. So show of hands, how many of you think DT is hot?

PS Will be continuing my fic, "the Stray" soon.Although not sure anyone's reading. lol

This,That and Moffat

So everyone is still talking about Moffat and how he shot his mouth off at Comicon. Tsk,tsk, it took you all this long to figure out that he's an asshole with an ego not even Liam Gahallager can hold a candle to? Is he a sexist? I can't say, but it sure as hell seems like it. at least with that comment and the fact that he feels he's too good for Rose Tyler. I get quite ill of men who think they can't allow a woman to get near them. His comment made me ill and I've had a chance to confirm my idea of him all along. He goes on and talks about how every year it was his job to "write the Moffat episode" like we all break our butts to watch his stuff. True some fans do, but it wouldn't have hurt it if he walked off with Mr. Spielburg and never returned. He also seems to have no qualms with pushing everyone aside for his own needs. He would shove Rusty's characters aside (and even the Doctor himself) to create his own story. He even shoved aside Mr. Steven Spielburg so he could do whatever the hell he plans on doing with Doctor who. So,I can honestly say, I'd never date him, nor would I let friends do the same. However, it doesn't look good for Moffat. He's barked out alot about his changes. No companions, all Rusty's characters gone, no Daleks, and the Doctor will be less intellectual and more James Bond. The only ones that are smiling are the classic Who fans that want things back to the way they were. However, will the general public go for it? It doesn't look like it. DW reached epic ratings. Bigger than there had even been. You had an audience of all sorts and critics were singing songs of praise for Russell T. Why? Because it worked. People had characters they could love. The Doctor wasn't this flat creature anymore, we now knew that he was so much more. We grieved with him and fell in love with him. It was all so terribly emotional and its sad that its all come to an end. Its sad that Moffat doesn't understand that chemistry and that we'll be getting something less. It will tank the series and I'm afraid s5 is going to be the last series for a long time. I do hope David Tennant has the sense to move on to something else. It would be sad to see him go down with the ship.

The X-files Movie: Haz U Seen it?(spoilers for X-files I want to believe)

    <lj:music>Nirvana</lj:music>

I went to see the new X-files movie. It was all such an interesting experience and at some point disappointing. When the X-files originally started, I was in high school. I was a your typical slacker 90s teen. Things were so carefree back then, Clinton was president, there was no 9/11 and they were still telling us that such a thing could never happen. Gas was still $1 and everything was still pretty peachy in the US. The X-files came from the days when we felt like the only thing the government was hiding was evidence of alien life. Yes, we were a bored bunch back then and that wasn't such a bad thing. So, when I went to see the new X-files movie, I was taken back when I saw that the majority of the people in the theater looked about my age. (so strange to watch your generation age.) I was very excited about this movie, I was expecting to go down memory lane and I got that...in small doses. The film wasn't typical X-Files. It was Scully and Mulder After the 90s. We see them living in a time where aliens are no longer our biggest threat and when we first see Mulder, he's unemployed, sitting in the back of their house cutting out articles about bigfoot and UFO sightings. Scully is back to being a doctor, but is the sole bread winner.Don't get me wrong, I love seeing Mulder and Scully as (sort of) married couple. As a teen I remember thinking "why don't they just get it on already?". I loved at least that part. What I didn't like was the anti-climatic theme and watching my teen-hood heroes get old. There were no aliens, just Russians stealing body parts and perhaps working in the news has made me feel like thats nothing new. It really isn't, although the stories we covered, it happens in all sorts of counties. Now I'll admit while the Frankenstein thing is not something we've reported it still wasn't reason enough to make a movie about it. Overall, I loved the movie, but it still could've been more X-files. If we hear anything else of Scully and Mulder (which I hope we do) I hope its a little more exciting and a little less like being reminded that my generation is now getting old.

She reached into the other-dad’s pocket of inside of his blazer. She found his sonic screwdriver. The one he made to match the one her real-father had. It wasn’t what she was looking for, but it was something she definetly needed. She reached into his outer pocket and found it, the strange brass watch that never opened. It was so tarnished it didn’t eevn shine. It had the look of an oddity found in a box at a yard sale. It had always been a mystery to her why he kept it, but it was something he always had with him.It was a piece of him she could always hold onto, whenever she wanted to remember what it meant to be safe. A piece of her life she knew was gone.

  It started to tick.

Open it now…

Celeste pushed button and it swung open, the face gleaming a bright gold aura. The other-dad’s mouth opened ever so slightly, as a white mist forced its way out. It plunged right into the watch with such force it almost jumped from her hand . She held on,even though the watch burned her palm.It then snapped shut and the tarnished brass turned silver.

The beams from the staircase gave way,the entire top floor was going to collaspe. Smoke and flames swirled all around. She got down on her belly and began to creep her way out. She was losing her breath, the smoke and heat was too much. She had to do it, she had to save herself. Its what her mother would’ve done. No Tyler ever waited for death. She made her way to the door and noticed the dog flap. She quietly praised Jackie for insisting on keeping it in the event she could talk Pete into getting a dog. Celeste squeeze her way through and then rolled into the porch. She made a mad dash for the front gate. It was…locked?

“Damned…automatic lock!” she swore, choking from all the smoke.

In the distance she could see Jackie and Pete running towards her. She was able to breathe normally.

“Oh my God!” shreiked Jackie as she threw her arms around her “ My sweet angel are you alright?”

“You’ve regenerated I see.” Said Pete “ Are you alright?”

Regenerated? Had she been dead? Nothing mad sense.

“Where’s mum?” She wept.

“I don’t know sweetheart…”Pete began to sob. He needed to see her.

“It just isn’t right.”Jackie protested “ The Doctor said the universe would collapse on itself.”

“The stars are going out.” Rose insisted, kissed Celeste goodbye “ The darkness is coming and we need the Doctor. Celeste needs to know her real father.”

        She disappeared into the night.

“It isn’t right Rose!” Jackie shouted after her, “Rose!”

Months went by and eventually Jackie got the nerve to go and search for Rose. Mickey followed behind. As their world fell apart, Pete gathered up Tony and moved into a near by fallout shelter.Celeste had a hard time keeping up.

“Well come on, we’ve got to keep moving.” He snapped.

Suddenly, she paused. There was singing in her head. A light hum, almost like her mother calling her name, but that wasn’t it, this was different.

“What are you doing?!” Pete roared, vicously motioning to the shelter “ GET IN HERE NOW!”

Whatever the singing was, it didn’t matter. Something terrifying was happening to the stars.

The next morning there was actually day break. Noone had seen the sun in months.

Mother was coming home, but the singing in Celeste’s head had stopped. The silence woke her up before the sunrise.Something about it made her feel hollow and sick. It was a heartbreak that didn’t seem to have a cause, yet there was definetly reason for it. She walked outside into the dew kissed morning. Gold and pinks gleamed across the sky. Celeste didn’t understand how she knew a lot of things, others didn’t know. It was like the scent of the dew, it just filled her senses and became apart of her being. It was love and hate, life and death, a question and an answer, all at once. Anyone else would’ve gone mad, but Celeste always felt content with it. It was apart of her and to take it way would terrify her more.

Over the horizon, Celeste saw them. Three shadows stretched down the street that had emerged from an airport taxi. Two old women across the street whispered a discreetly pointed as Rose and Jackie turned up with the blue suit man. This wasn’t her father or was it? Celeste’s brain turned to mush. Her senses told her it was him and it wasn’t. This didn’t make sense at all. Her mother’s face was sullen. Celeste felt her two hearts begin to tug. Pete came out from shelter, Tony on his hip.

“Its not really him you know.” Pete said “ He’s only a version of your real dad. So sorry, my heart goes out to you.”

One could say that the man Rose brought home was the Doctor. He looked, sounded, and thought the same. He had 900 years worth of memories and even rambled on about things no human could understand. He contained great chunk of the real Doctor’s soul and when Celeste told her mother about it, this is what brought her back from her grief. It wasn’t him but it was. That was still good. A piece of the Doctor’s soul. How like him. The immotal soldier who had to keep fighting found a way to be with his beloved. It was when they made love that she got the full picture. Yes it was him, she thought. Celeste still felt sick. Her real father was out there somewhere and he didn’t even know she existed.

Chapter 1 (some years later)

“Celeste!”Jackie’s voice sounded like chicken disturbed one too many time “Celeste! Damn that girl! Rose! Do something about that girl of yours, she’s on the roof again!”

The roof was the best place to draw or write or think or anything else Celeste loved to do. Most of all it was the best place to get away and stare up at the stars. Today she turned 14 and there was nothing more pointless. The Tylers didn’t make a point of parading Celeste out in public. She wasn’t normal and might do Time Lordy things like “regenerate for shits and giggles” as Jackie always feared. Couldn’t have that. The Tylers were respected and having anything strange like alien children wasn’t allowed. Rose always felt bad, but Celeste was fine with it. Who gives a rats ass if she wasn’t as adored as Tony? Why would anyone care what someone so shallow thought? There were more important things like her lost father, life beyond the stars, the things that her mother and other-father saw with Torchwood. Still there was drawing and hiding on top of the roof. Something so obvious, but noone thinks to look. Noone except Jackie.

“What does it matter Jackie?!” Pete fussed “If she breaks her neck, she’ll Just regenerate.”

“I’ve got her, mum.” Said Rose.

Rose stood out on the balcony in front of her daughter’s room.

“ You gonna bring the ladder down?” she asked, her voice like a cloud, she tightened the belt on her pink silk robe.

Celeste pushed the make shift ladder she made out of the climbing rope she stole from Pete.

“You can beg all you want, but I’m not coming down.” Celeste protested “Not til I’m done.”

“What ya drawing there eh?” her mother asked as she climbed up.

“Daleks.” Celeste replied .

“Their eyes are missing.” Said Rose.

“The best kind.” Smiled Celeste.

“I see you made another ladder. Pete’s gonna have your tail for this one.” Rose scolded”Thats his best climbing rope. You’ve got to stop stealing things.”

“No, Pete’s got to stop leaving his stuff out.”Celeste muttered. She began to sketch walls around the blind Daleks.

Rose put her hand over the notepad.

“Why are you so angry?” she asked.

Celeste glared at her, pulled the pad away and scooted further up. She began erasing, deciding the wall needed to be thicker.

Her other-dad climbed up.

“Well I see you’ve made some good use of Pete’s rope,” he laughed “He’s gonna love that.Good one sweetheart.Maybe that will make him forget about what you did in his study.”

Rose whipped her head around.

“What do you mean?!” she said, she turned back to Celeste “You don’t mean the ostrich…oh honestly!”

“No…um…course not!” said other-dad “…I mean…the..”

“Its alright dad.” Celeste said, changing the wall from brick to iron.

Just then there was shouting from below.

“Doctor!” shouted Pete “They’ve come back!”

The other-dad and Rose looked at each other in terror.

“They can’t!” Rose shreiked, she grabbed up her daughter and held tight “Doctor, don’t! You can’t!”

The other-dad kissed her.

“You know me better than that.” He smiled.

“No!Dad!” screamed Celeste.

…that would be the last thing she remembered. She woke up in the Tyler mansion. Everything burning, she was sheilded by the lifeless body of her other-dad.

...in the next few days I'm going to write my idea of a finale. The only thing that will stop me is if I decided half way to move on. Yeah it seems hopeless. One can say Rose will be happy with fake ten. Thats in theory. That maybe Moffat will give the Doctor a break and let him be happy even if its for a little while. Some fans believe that this isn't over. Mickey is supposed to be in the specials, so its possible to have a reset on this. Possible, but I'm not going to bloody count on it. I've learned my lesson. Rusty is full of surprises so it's possible. However, if this is it, Rusty is a terrible writer. You don't write a story without a resolution. Its pointless. He went through the trouble of convencing us that the Doctor loved Rose. Only to have him be alone again? We had Donna learn and grow, only to be put back the way she was. You had Jack with no resolution at all, but he seemed to be expecting that. Jack is used to Rusty's torture and thats a little more than sad. Mickey ended up with noone. The only ones who walked away happy were Martha and Sarah Jane. Thanks Rusty, for showing me that hope is for squares.

It was too fucking sad." > </lj-cut>HOWEVER, I'm going forward with my fic. It will be as if this finale didn't happen and got a happier ending.
